Summary
generated automatically from NVD dataThe danoli3 fork of FreeImage, in versions before 3.19.25, has a heap buffer overflow (CWE-787) in PluginGIF.cpp. A crafted GIF whose frame left offset plus width exceeds the logical screen width is not clipped, so GifPlaybackCompositeFrame() and GifPlaybackFillRect() write past the canvas allocation and corrupt heap memory when the file is loaded with GIF_PLAYBACK. The flaw is rated HIGH with a CVSS v3.1 score of 7.8.
